The Ram hood ornament continues to be a fitting mascot for this super tough rig. Able to navigate any type of terrain with a sturdy hydroformed frame and double-wishbone independent front suspension, this truck offers superior handling and a smooth ride. Cab choices are twodoor regular, four-door quad and mega quad. The Ram 1500 also comes in two cargo box lengths: 8-foot or 6-foot, 4-inches. The standard 3.7-litre Magnum® V6 engine and six-speed manual or four speed automatic transmission can be upgraded to a 4.7-litre HEMI® V8 and six speed manual or five speed automatic. Towing capacity is up to 9,100 lb. with a Payload/Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 2550 lb/8510 lb, when properly equipped. The Ram 2500 is muscular and ready for action. With a towing capacity of up to 13,550 lb and a Payload/Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 3320 lb/9000 lb., the 2500 is great for hauling constructions materials during the week and your bass boat on the weekend. Standard on all 2500 trucks is a 5.7-litre Hemi® V8 that generates 345 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque. The quiet and environmentally friendly 6.7-Liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel Engine (offered as an upgrade) provides pure clean power. There’s also an optional 5.9-litre Cummins diesel engine that generates 610 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission is standard with an optional 5-speed or 6-speed automatic available. Like other heavy-duty pickup trucks, the Ram 2500 also features a stiffened suspension and a more rugged frame. It’s also available with a selection of cab sizes. And the Diesel gives you a welcome break at the pumps. |
